Our Mission

Evolve Scholar is a faith-based career development service. We offer a variety of services ranging from resume/cover letter reviews to one on one interviewing technique workshops to public speaking engagements. We strive to assist scholars in creating an excellent employment or educational portfolio.

Meet the Owner

Dionna Marcus-Smalling, Esq. received her Juris Doctorate Degree from The Appalachian School of Law. After graduating from law school she became a Judicial Law Clerk in Virginia. As a law clerk she drafted memos, opinions, conducted legal research, reviewed divorces and adoptions, and assisted the Judge with any courtroom proceedings.

After completing her clerkship Dionna was selected as a Judge Advocate Staff Officer in the United States Air Force JAG Corps. Dionna believes that her faith in God has brought her this far. Her favorite scripture - Jeremiah 29:11 was reignited by her mentor Justice (ret.) Elizabeth McClanahan who pushed her and believed in her. With her mentorship Dionna fully understood what Jeremiah 29:11 really meant and she lives by it daily.

Dionna enjoys spending time with her husband, taking walks with her dog, and traveling. She is a nature lover and loves to be immersed in Gods creation. She is a huge Disney fan and enjoys trying new foods.

Dionna is energetic about assisting those around her reach new heights, whether it be secondary education or employment she is excited to assist. We hope to help you reach new heights!
